In Korean culture, the 100th day after a child's birth is a significant milestone, and I was so honored to help this sweet Chicago family celebrate Eliana’s 100th day. It was a beautiful midsummer Chicago morning and the wildflowers in Lurie Garden (the family’s location of choice) were in peak color! We wandered the garden in search of flowers to sniff, shade to duck under, and pretty spots perfect for photos.
There’s something really special about Lurie Garden in Millennium Park. The entire park is one of Chicago’s most magnificent, and the garden feels like a quiet corner away from the crowds a bit. The hedge that surrounds it helps you forget (for a moment) that you’re in the middle of downtown!
Some of Billy & Minjung’s family had traveled to Chicago for the big weekend and they came along for moral support during the photo session (grandmothers are always welcome!) and we snuck in a few photos of the whole family with the Art Institute as the backdrop.
Big sister Adelia wasn’t forgotten; she warmed up to the camera quickly and was delighted with playing peek-a-boo behind mom’s dress. Look at that adorable grin!
I was so happy to help this family celebrate Eliana’s 100 days, and in such a perfect location in Chicago. I loved it so much I’m offering mini sessions there in a few weeks—why don’t you bring your family for some beautiful photos in the heart of Chicago? I’d love to meet you. More details about mini sessions here!
