It's February. We're a month in to 2014 and sometimes those new year resolutions and goals need a swift kick in the pants to keep them rolling.
But there's this lovely pile of books that have made their way onto my desk, and I can hardly keep from devouring their pages most days! That's one goal that needs no coaxing.
What are you reading this year? Any fabulous reads that need to be added to my own pile?
Steal Like an Artist, Austin Kleon : I've finished this one already, but I need to read it at least 3 times over this year. Total game-changer and incredibly motivating.
Design is A Job, Mike Montiero : "I wrote you a book. It has a spine, and by the time you're done reading it, so will you." Gimme.
When People are Big and God is Small, Ed Welch : For this BIG-TIME people pleaser.
How to Read A Book, Mortimer J. Adler
On Looking, Alexandra Horowitz : "How to see the spectacle of the ordinary."
People Pictures, Chris Orwig
The Luminous Portrait, Elizabeth Messina : "Infuse your images with glowing, luminous light." Gladly!
