Holiday Mini Sessions! || Chicago, IL

--- SESSIONS ALREADY BOOKED ---

It's been a few years since my last holiday mini session, and I'm getting so excited as I make plans for this year! I love the holiday season so much, and I'd be honored to photograph your family to help you celebrate!

Here are the details:

I'm booking a limited number of sessions on Saturday, November 28 from 11-4pm. Each 20-minute session includes 5-10 edited images via digital download, ready for use before Christmas. Location is Horner Park at California & Montrose Ave. Think evergreen and hot chocolate and a pile of blankets and warm hearts for the holidays...need I say more? :)

Email me if you have other questions and for booking details and availability!

Glaze Family || Chicago Lifestyle Session

If you've followed my photography and writings for a while, you'll know that I'm less concerned with perfectly-posed photographs and more intent on photographing real moments as they unfold. It's no surprise, then, that lifestyle sessions are my favorite sessions of all -- there's no other priority than raw, real, everyday life images! I'm convinced that the moments we will look back on with the most fondness are the mundane moments that we sometimes take for granted.

When Katelyn asked me to bring my camera and spend a morning documenting her family's daily life, I couldn't say 'yes' fast enough. We started at their Lakeview home where Michael brewed a perfect pour of coffee. He's the director of retail for Bow Truss coffee, so I suppose he knows what he's doing. :) Katelyn put the finishing touches on a pan of fresh cinnamon rolls while their son, Atticus, watched the activity and flashed his smile across the room like a sunbeam. As they ate breakfast and I clicked away, we talked about parenting and Chicago (they recently moved to the city and are learning the ropes of city life just like I am) and other things that made me think I had known them for many months. Maybe that's the other reason I like lifestyle sessions -- because I always leave with a few more people to call friend. Then we wandered downtown for some photos to commemorate their recent move to the city. It was chilly and windy, but all 3 of them were good sports about braving the weather, and it was well worth our time.

Take a look at these images from the Glaze family session, and see what I mean -- there's something so rich and beautiful about real life.

Kaitlyn's Graduating || Newton High Ohio Senior Session

Kaitlyn loves to laugh. But I feel like that's just stating the obvious; it won't take long for you to see that for yourself! Kaitlyn has a fun-loving personality and is incredibly big-hearted. She's creative and funny and if you're fortunate enough to call Kaitlyn your friend, I think she's one-in-a-million.

Her only request for senior portraits was something creative and unlike the norm, and since that's my goal with every session, we made a great team. I think these images show Kaitlyn's true personality, her radiant inner beauty, and her love for life. Thanks for allowing me the privilege of documenting this important time in your life, Kaitlyn! I wish you the happiest last year of high school.

Kaitlyn is a graduating senior of the Newton Class of 2016 in West Milton, Ohio. We took her senior portraits on a sunny summer day at her home and various locations nearby. Styling was provided my both Kaitlyn, her mom, and myself to create this timeless vintage-inspired session with a hint of whimsy. I'd say it was a smashing success. :)
