I love parades. We were delighted to learn that Chicago hosts a Memorial Day parade that's one of the largest in the nation, and it did not disappoint! It was packed with flags, fanfare, patriotism, high spirits, and honor for servicemen and women who have sacrificed so much of their lives for our freedom.
I'm sharing these photos in memory of my great-grandfather and grandpa-in-law who served in WWII and in Korea. I loved walking along State Street to capture these images of the parade; I hope you can get a glimpse of it through my lens.
